This is Morgan from Jane Doe Makeup. In preparation for Bridal Session I have recently updated my own portfolio website with information about my services, rates, and more. The new section also includes photos and information about my services for Makeovers, Makeover parties, Special FX, Body Painting, Private Makeup workshops, and much more!


You will find a very long list of services in the rates/services section of www.JaneDoeMakeup.com as I currently offer more services than any other makeup artist in the NYC, NY, NJ,CT,PA+ area.


Small photo sessions/makeovers are also available instudio at my new studio in Ridgewood Queens NY.


I am also currently offering discounts on ALL bridal services for nyc and surrounding areas with Bridal makeup packages starting at $60 per person for wedding day makeup services. In addition, all brides will be considered members of the bridal parties for all rates for packages.


I am also offering private lessons (nonvocational) , makeover parties & more - instudio and traveling!

NEW CLASS!: DIMENSIONS of Art & Makeup Workshop Debuting in April

Jane Doe Makeup News: NEW DIMENSIONS OF MAKEUP & ART WORKSHOP


Hi Ladies & Gents.
This is Morgan from Jane Doe Makeup. As some of you have heard, I will be debuting a brand new class, never offered before! This workshop will be like no other workshop in NYC or surrounding areas.
It will fuse makeup, art, photography, and softwear presentations into one workshop. In addition, it will be a longer workshop than all of my other workshops.


The workshop will feature color theory, dimensions & depth, photoshop presentations to understand color and materials, beauty and fantasy! We will also be reviewing gradation scales and the color wheel to help understand which colors work best with various makeup looks, highlighting/contouring, creating fx, and understanding art/makeup.

Our new workshop goes above and beyond in visuals and presentation- while remaining one of the most hands on workshops that we offer.

The debut dates are set for Saturday April 23rd from 9am-3pm and Monday April 25th from 9am-3pm @ Jane Doe Studio in Ridgewood Queens NY (on the border of bushwick/williamsburg brooklyn and queens).
These dates will be offered at a Discount! So keep an eye out for when I officially post the signups.


I am also working on promo videos and more for this workshop - so stay tuned!

This is Morgan from Jane Doe Makeup. I would like to let everyone know that I have announced some new dates for workshops for March & April 2011. You can find them in the "signup here" section of the website.
In addition, I have made an "at a glance list" so you can see the workshops easily and browse the schedule.
Our signup here section also features photos next to each workshop to help you get a better look at the theme of the workshops we are offering.

We are also offering some awesome sales on Airbrush Workshops (never offered before). Save $75 this month on select airbrush workshops!!!

I will only be accepting 4 clients maximum for all workshops - so if you know you are interested in a specific workshop do not wait until the last minute to signup.

New Makeup Workshops Announced for NYC

Hi Ladies & Gents!
This is Morgan from Jane Doe Makeup. As many of you know, I have moved my studio from Brooklyn to Ridgewood Queens (on the border of brooklyn - 2 more stops on the L Train and less than 10 minutes from the prior location). We had our first workshop at this location the other day and my clients were very pleased with the new space. The new space is very intimate and hands on as I am only accepting 4 clients at a time for make-up workshops, parties, etc.

I think the new space will give me an excellent chance to personalize my sessions even more than before!
I will not be doing bridal portfolio building sessions at this new space. However, if you are interested in a bridal portfolio building session please email me as I am taking names and info for future shoots. Future shoots will be more involved on my part and require a day rental from a larger photo studio. So email janedoemakeup@yahoo.com if you are interested as I will still only be accepting a select number of signups and am trying to get a nice list of interested clients.

In addition, I have announced more workshops for March in the "classes" section of www.JaneDoeStudio.com. All of my workshops are extremely hands on, nonvocational and a lot of fun. I am fully equipped to do everything from beauty to special fx at the new studio. In addition, I have announced some seasonal workshops that I do not offer frequently or year round.

Bridal Portfolio Building Sessions: Join The List for the Next Session

Hi Ladies & Gents.
This is Morgan from Jane Doe Makeup. As many of you know, we are moving locations. We are in the process of moving into a smaller location for makeup workshops, makeup parties, and services/consultations. This change will be a positive one and will allow us to focus on smaller more hands on and intimate sessions. In addition, we will not be offering the Bridal Portfolio Building Sessions frequently.
I have received emails from people who are interested in doing a bridal shoot.
I do have plans for shoots in the future. However, the shoots will not happen for a while. Upon doing another shoot we will be renting space from another location, supplying models, photography, and gowns. If you would like to be apart of our next bridal portfolio shoot we are taking names and comprising a list.

The previous fee for the bridal portfolio shoots was $165 and included models, wardrobe and 1500-3000 photos per session all delivered within 1 week of the shoot. The rate for the next shoot will be higher -however, we are trying to assemble enough people to do it where it will not break you bank! The shoots will become more involved with traveling+ transporting equipment+ additional studio rental cost.

Other places- the going rate for some thing like this (without wardrobe, dresses, etc) is $600 for 300 photos of 1 model. So, we would like to keep the new rate for our shoots to about $200 or so depending on costs when we finally coordinate it.
